Been snapping pics of the skies and/or weather 🙂 this past week. The temps have definitely dropped and are hanging out in the teens at night and around 30 during the heat-of-the-day! Yes, winter is already here – regardless if the solstice (aka – the first day of winter) has arrived yet or not.
The solstice is one of those days I truly look forward too! The mark of equal day-n-night and the beginning of gaining the daylight hours back! Love it! ❤ It’s more than just that, of course. But I wasn’t planning on going into the deeper meaning of it in this post. Just wanted to post the backyard pics of the days before solstice.
🙂
My last journal entry/post was of the 12-12; so, this will have the 12-13 to the 19th. Snapped a pic if I could or if there was even anything to capture. We got dumped on – with what seemed like – endless snow (13th). The next day (14th) it was beautiful blue skies, just enough warmth to melt and make lots of icicles! The 16th – cold and mostly cloudy all day. The 19th – gorgeous blue skies but the freezing temps kept me indoors! We were getting snowed on any day that there was no sunshine to capture.
