The '2' month; the month of 'Love'; the shortest month and sometimes the leap-year month!
The two vibe is empathic, intuitive, peacemaking, gentle, cooperative; just to mention a few. There is more depth to this (number/numbers) and if you want to, or need to, know more - maybe hit-up that search-bar and look through some various numerology sites. I promise - it will be fun! How can it not? I love numerology, it's right up there with astrology and herbology and so many other 'ology's'!
But this isn't really a numerology post... it's a post about a few random fun things I collected about this month.
Why?
Why not.
:-)
This may (or might not be) an entertainment read - if you were born this month, or there is a special-something about it, or just generally love this month; if you totally dig the number 2; maybe you're weird like me and just love gathering, knowing, and having fun with 'random' information! :-)
I am pretty sure that part of my purpose here (this incarnate) is to be an information-collector and sharer! Among other things. I love researching stuff, I love rabbit-holes, I love reading, I love experimenting, I love guinea-pigging my Self through various 'self-projects' just so I can take-notes and KNOW/experience the results; I love puzzles and I love collecting so-called-random pieces of info... for what?
Who cares?! LOL! I can't stop doing it; so...
Back to the '2' month.
There are a couple :-) of fun '2' days: 2-2, 2-20, 2-22
The triple 2-22 is a powerful feminine, Goddess, Divine Mother energy day!
The 2+2+2=6 + 7 (the Universal 7 year of 2+0+2+3=7) = 13 : Thirteen is the Divine Mother/Female principle.
2 has the energy of: relationship, couple-dom, unity, balance... the masculine and feminine...
The Tropical zodiacs of: Aquarius and Pisces
Or - the Sidereal of: Capricorn and Aquarius
If you were born in this month the considered birth-stone would be amethyst, or... garnet (red), jasper and/or jade. How about Serpentine? So many to choose from! And as I was doing some research on stones/crystals according to 'signs' there are even more options! For example, Aquarius can also add into the mix: Labradorite, sapphire, lapis lazuli and obsidian; heck, let's throw in Moldavite too! Pisces can add in: Apatite, topaz, and amber. If you just want look at the February aspect there are additions beyond the traditional. These are in relation to other cultures and their calendars: Pearl, Hyacinth, Moonstone, Bloodstone. Wowzah!
I will admit, even though I do love crystals... my relationship with them is not through a month or a zodiac they are assigned to. I knew that each month and even zodiacs had a couple of crystals/stones connected to them... but this seems a little confusing (maybe it's just me).
How about building a relationship with the crystal or stone that most resonates and feels right for you. Birthday month or zodiac might not mean anything when it comes to relationship-building with a piece of earth. If it just happens to line-up with what has already been 'designated' - cool! But... if you must adhere to the traditional: I would stick with amethyst myself. As it is a master healer!

Amethyst:
Master healer as it: protects, purifies/cleanses, neutralize/transmutes, calms, balances, brings peace/inner-peace. This is all the bodies - physical to light-body/energetic layers. Awesome all-around potent beauty that (in my opinion) should be somewhere in/on everyone's possession! Just sayin'. :-)
Moving on...
Amethyst matches the birth-month - February flower anyway... :-) the purples of Violet and Primrose. But the primrose that I will briefly talk about will technically be the yellow ones!
What kind of healing/health properties do these two have? A quick look:
Violet:
Want the tangible lovely in your presence? Maybe try and grow one in a pot. Have them in the garden, your yard, or just go out and collect a few for a healing tea. Not just any violet; and there are poisonous look-a-likes; so be specific/aware if you are out there foraging. There are over 500 genus of these little beauties. Know your plants! Grab an ID-ing book if you are adventurous; or... get some from a trusty source. There is also just the aspect of looking at a picture and visualizing their presence as well!
I'm going to give a quick this-this-and-this about the violet :Viola odorata; Violaceae; the sweet violet.
As a kiddo - I would collect some of these and sugar them. I was also a fan of sugaring pansy's and rose petals too! Why? Because it was fun. Then I would eat them. Sure, I predominantly wanted the sugar (LOL!) but what a fun, pretty way to consume it, right? Did I know that I was eating something with medicinal properties? No. Was I ever scared to see them tossed in salads or floating in punch bowls, heck no! I knew they were edible - but what I didn't know (in my youth but do now) was that they offer healing, therapeutic, medicinal properties such as (but not limited to):
**Anti-inflammatory; blood cleanser; soothing respiratory issues. Good for kidneys; diuretic/urinary issues and a mild laxative.
**You can eat the flower and the leaves; depending on when you harvest - they can taste lettuce-like or they can get bitter. Eat fresh, eat them raw, throw in your salad. Make a syrup, a tea, infuse some honey, vinegar, or oil. Great internally and externally.
***I'm not a doctor and don't claim to be one... do your research; chat with an herbalist, or someone who knows-their-shit about plants; talk with your Self and listen to your body/intuition. If something about... anything here resonates - I can only highly suggest - you should connect with your innate/God/Source/higher-Self for deeper clarity and understanding. Things really are never 'random' (even though I tend to joke with it sometimes).
Primrose:
I guess the ancient Celts (probably/maybe) believed that large patches of primrose flowers were a gateway to the fairy realm. Reminds me of when the little-mushroom-circles pop up in our pasture and I try not to step on them; they're fairy rings! I feel bad when I accidently step on one and I would definitely never eat any of them! But for the Celts and their primrose patches: eat the primrose = see some fairies! Sounds kind-of cool. Sounds hallucinogenic! This is definitely not any kind of custom or tradition that was passed down through the generations in my Celtic family lineage! Hmmm... interesting. :-)
Like the violets, the primrose; Primulaceae/Primula, there are many/several varieties! Over 2,000 species (don't quote me on that - because there are a lot of subspecies that takes this flower into the hundreds-of-varieties) of these flowering beauties! I'm pretty sure that the lovelies that my ancestors were enjoying were the common primrose, yellow flowers/clusters, native to Europe/Asia; also known as English primrose. I had to do some double-checking to make sure that these are, in fact, NOT the same-as the popular Evening primrose (Oenothera biennis - that we all love to utilize its awesome oil/GLA from).
So, to make sure you are eating something... well, edible - the Primula vulgaris is the one you might be safest to focus on. Once again, if heading out to DIY forage this plant - grab a great ID book or if you aren't feelin' super confident at collecting these yet. You can get some from a trusty source. And as always - just seeing them, visualizing, and setting the intention to connect with them is powerful stuff!
**Analgesic properties, pain reliever, anti-spasmodic; good for colds, contains vitamin C. Is also diuretic.
**Flowers and leaves are edible, also can be lettuce-like, sometimes spicy to bitter depending. Great in salads, can be cooked as a green (like a veggie), put into soups. Can be used like an herb/seasoning. Also made into syrup, jelly, wine and tea.
Used for centuries as an external salve for cuts and burns. Also good for balancing out skin issues that range from a pimple to a wrinkle.
Fun stuff! :-)
A few other flowers that might make an appearance during Jan/Feb (and March) for viewing pleasure and putting a smile on your face are: Crocus, Snowdrop, Candytuft, Pansy and Viola, Narcissus/Daffodils; as well as some shrubs and trees like witch hazel. Of course this is varied according to location - and there are tons of other lovely beauties popping their gorgeous displays open (most likely) somewhere near you.
I happen to be in a location that is still under many inches of snow. So the plant life going on in my house is filling the 'greenery' void very nicely. From herbs to trees - something in my house always has a little bloom going on! I love it!
<3
It puts a smile on my face!
:-)
Hopefully you are out there smiling too. It does make a difference!
May all of your February's awesome!
