The ‘Holiday’ Series –
perspectives and perceptions through an awakened Starseed.
* * * * *
Thanksgiving has a different vibe for me. Different in: I am aware of its deep, true, history and the savage-darkness surrounding it. Yes, I am thankful and grateful – but I don’t need just one organized day a year (or weekend) for that. I AM thankful and have gratitude everyday.
This ‘holiday’ is based from terrible, inhumane, acts in order to bring the formation of a country into fruition. Stolen and aggressively taken over, colonized in a bully fashion, disregard to those that resided here before ‘us’. It has been turned into a grand-celebration with overindulgence, sports on tv, and commercialism/consumerism. This, actually, is what has become of most holidays in the American culture. Sad, but true. Holi-daze have lost-their-way. They have also been built upon false-realities.
The TRUE history of this country, (some holi-daze) along with true histories of all global/earthly activities (not to mention cosmic and galactic histories), needs to be learned (re-learned/brought into awareness), taught, and shared. Things have been getting buried, re-written, lied about, manipulated into something else, and just-plain-deleted. Mandala affect? Re-writing and deletion have actually been going on for many generations. It is just more noticeable now in our age of instant information and technology. This is all part of the third dimensional matrix; false, fake, and manipulated reality timeline.
This holiday for most modern Americans is about over-eating and then shopping on-line (or maybe standing in-line). Family time is actually a stressful time; dealing with others… not usually what people want to be doing. This is in relation to individual emotional work (healing, growth and maturity) – doing or not doing. It affects family dynamics. It affects the over-all vibe, if you will.
For the original humans, that called this land home – it is a day of mourning. A reminder that many of the indigenous people were slaughtered and lands stolen from them. This information seems to keep slipping farther and farther into the cracks. We need to be aware and have an awareness to real-truths.
I can only speak for myself, but I feel sad about this. The true history and events for many of celebrations should be talked about and known about.
There are many places one can read about some history…
Samples of readings:
Thanksgiving: Celebrating the Genocide of Native Americans
There’s many more true/truer histories about this ‘holiday’. Finding and reading about it has gotten easier (thanks internet!)
I now work on forgiveness surrounding this timeline of events. Working on family/ancestral healing, global consciousness/healing, gridwork, the forgiveness and the trauma(s) – regardless if ‘family’ was there or not. It is part of human-history… this needs to be healed!
